Keep Home

Supporting first time home owners in the upkeep of their new home.

Keep is a platform for potential homeowners to complete courses for their loan education requirements. I joined the team at Supply as Keep began to expand their features past just getting users across the home ownership line - to support them towards success as home owners. My role was dreaming up new features, adding and refining the product design system, and art directing digital content through the brand lens. In April 2021, the Keep platform won the Ivory level Award for Innovation in the Finance Category.

Challenges

How can we more closely integrate tools into the home owner education process so that the support can extend beyond a course requirement?
Maintenance on your home is likely stressful and costly. How do we help users celebrate their wins along the way?
Keep isn’t meant to be an intensive project management tool. What light elements of management software can we utilize, and what can we simplify?

To-Do List Feature

A smart project management tool with thoughtful simplifications

Integrated with assessments, the to-do list feature allows users to track and populate their tasks directly after assessing their home.

Purposeful empty states feel rewarding — not empty.

Home maintenance is expensive and stressful. We wanted to give users a moment to relax and congratulate them on their progress.

Accessibility
For well websites and products — but especially a product like this, with its mission in housing equity — accessibility considerations are front of mind. We used rigorous accessibility tools to ensure designs pass AA standards.
